CBS Television Producer Charged In Child Sex Sting

CBS Sports television producer Daniel Barron was arrested Saturday for attempting to arrange sex with an 11-year-old girl in trade for tickets to a Miami Dolphins football game.
According to police reports, the 56-year-old Barron entered an AOL chat room titled “open minded parents” and began conversing with an undercover detective, whom he expected was the father of the 11-year-old girl. Barron expressed an interest in having sex with the girl, in addition to sleeping nude with her. In exchange for the encounter, the father would receive tickets to the Miami Dolphins football game Sunday.
Barron allegedly told the undercover detective, “I will be very gentle with her.” Barron was arrested in the parking lot of a Fort Lauderdale hotel, where he anticipated meeting the father and daughter.
