Need we even mention that Rep. William Jefferson of Louisiana is a democrat?
WASHINGTON (AP) – Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on federal charges of racketeering, soliciting bribes and money-laundering in a long- running bribery investigation into business deals he tried to broker in Africa.
The indictment handed up in federal court in Alexandria, Va., Monday is 94 pages long and lists 16 alleged violations of federal law that could keep Jefferson in prison for up to 235 years, according to a Justice Department official who has seen the document.
Among the charges listed in the indictment, said the official, are racketeering, soliciting bribes, wire fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case.
Jefferson is accused of soliciting bribes for himself and his family, and also for bribing a Nigerian official.

This indictment comes as part of the bribery investigation in which agents found $90,000 cash in Jefferson’s freezer last year. So much for being “committed to working in Congress to ensure that our local needs are met and that our city [New Orleans] is rebuilt bigger, better and for all our citizens to return.” Mr. Jefferson, you’re a douchebag and an asshole.
I’m a democrat but readily concur, if Jefferson’s guilty, he’s scum. Happily I haven’t heard of any fellow democratic representatives attempting to cover up for him as I did of Republican leaders for their fellow pedophile representative Foley. When it gets to that point you know you’ve got real and deep corruption within a party.
The American Psychiatric Association’s DSM-IV-TR defines pedophilia as “recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children” where the adult has “acted on these sexual urges, or the sexual urges or fantasies caused marked distress or interpersonal difficulty.”
Pedophilia as it is used by leading North American researchers is:
* Pedophilia is the presence of sexual feelings for children,
* The children have not reached puberty,
* Children are preferred over adolescents and adults,
* These feelings are enduring, and
* It is not necessary that the adult has acted on these feelings or experiences distress or difficulty as a result of them.

“Though Foley is not alleged to have engaged in sexual relations with pages during the time of their service, he allegedly entered, on at least two occasions, into sexual relationships with ex-pages…… The ex-page says that in the fall of 2000, when he was 21 years old, he engaged in sexual congress with Foley at the congressman’s Washington residence. According to the former page’s account, “[t]he two had wine and pizza on a backyard patio and then retired to a spare bedroom.”
Another former page told ABC News that Foley arranged a sexual liaison with him, but only after he turned 18.
No, this is not pedophilia as you so incorrectly and cynically attempted to imply it is nothing more than that vaunted lifestyle so embraced and promoted by the libs – called Homosexuality. It is a fact that gays come in all sizes, shapes, sexes and yes, political ideologies.
