Obama Administration: Major Nidal Hasan Went Postal, Not Jihadi

The Obama Administration has found a highly effective method to eliminate Islamic terrorism: Changing its name.

During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.

That’s right, when a Muslim, under the direction of the treacherous Anwar al-Awlaki, launches an attack on a US Army base, it’s a simple case of workplace violence. To be fair to the Obama Administration, Army soldiers should be somewhat used to violent attacks by Muslims while they’re on the job.

Likewise, the 9/11 attacks were directed not towards schools or residences, but towards workplaces forAmericans in the financial and military sectors.

Pedophile Terrorist Naser Jason Abdo Tries, Fails To Mug Liberals With Reality

The latest devout follower of the Religion of Peace, Naser Jason Abdo, was arrested Tuesday after arousing the suspicions of a Killeen, Texas gun shop employee. Abdo was already a star of the Far Left, having somehow convinced the Army that the Muslim religion he shares with such well-known pacifists as Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein made him a conscientious objector, unable to serve his country in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Why a Muslim would join not only the Army but the infantry, in a time of war and then suddenly realize, “wait, this job involves killing Muslims?” indicates that Abdo had to be, if you’ll pardon the military jargon, some kind of ASVAB-waiver.

Now, to be considered a conscientious objector, not only do you have to demonstrate that you oppose the current war you’re being asked to fight in, but all wars. So, according to CNN, Abdo ran with the kind of malarkey that our liberal friends love to hear from Muslims.

“Islam is a much more peaceful and tolerant religion than it is an aggressive religion,” he said. “I don’t believe that Islam allows me to operate in any kind of warfare at all, including the U.S. military and any war it partakes in. I believe that our first duty as a Muslim is to serve God.”

So it looked like Abdo was going to get free an clear of his military obligation until May 13th, when he was arrested after child pornography was discovered on his computer.  After a legal hearing recommended that Abdo face a court martial, the Muslim soldier-cum-pacifist-cum-pedophile decided to add deserter to his resume and went AWOL.

Now, it appears that Abdo loves peace the same way he wants to love children after he was arrested and bomb-making materials, guns,  military uniforms and jihadist literature were found in his hotel room.

Over at Death & Taxes, Andrew Belonsky‘s first concern is “How Will Right Respond To Fort Hood Plot?” That’s right, a second incident of a Muslim serviceman trying to kill his fellow soldiers at the Fort Hood, where Nidal Malik Hasan first voiced opposition to the war and then opened fire on American soldiers, killing 13 and wounding 29…and the view through the liberal lense is one of fear that people might look at Muslims with suspicion.

…we’re seeing an uptick in politically expedient Islamophobia, and it’s entirely conceivable that GOP leaders and their adherents will use Abdo’s Muslim heritage to rally their troops. I mean, just look at Herman Cain, a socially conservative pledge blasting Sharia law and Rep. Peter King’s “Muslim radicalization”hearings.

Would “Islamophobia” be so politically expedient if American Muslims were a little more eager to serve and protect the country and a little less willing to side with our enemies and kill us?

Terror Suspect Captured in Massachusetts

Tarek Mehanna, a 27-year old man residing in Sudbury, Massachusetts, was arrested on federal terrorism charges this morning.  Mehanna was allegedly planning terror attacks on politicians and a shopping mall.  Much like the arrest of Najubullah Zazi and associates, Mehanna never got close to carrying out said attacks; federal investigators were on him from the beginning:

A Sudbury, Mass., man was arrested Wednesday on federal terrorism-related charges and accused of planning attacks inside and outside the United States, including an attack that targeted a shopping mall, WCVB-TV in Boston reported.

Tarek Mehanna, 27, was taken into custody at his Sudbury home, according to acting U.S. Attorney General Michael K. Loucks.

Beginning in 2001 and continuing through 2008, Mehanna conspired with Ahmad Abousamra and others to provide material support and resources to terrorists to “kill, kidnap, maim or injure” people, including prominent U.S. politicians, according to a criminal complaint.

Loucks said that Mehanna was involved with co-conspirators in a plan that targeted two members of the executive branch and a planned attack on a U.S. shopping mall.

“The killing of citizens was considered OK by the conspirators because citizens are taxpayers,” Loucks said.

Shoe Lobber Jailed

Muntadar al-Zeidi, the 30-year-old journalist who threw his shoes at George W. Bush was sentenced to three years in prison. 

The bigger douchebags in this story may turn out to be the al-Zeidi’s defense attorney, family, and supporters who believe that it is a civil liberty to assault the President of the United States:

A court convicted an Iraqi journalist of assault Thursday for hurling his shoes at George W. Bush and sentenced him to three years in prison, prompting an outburst from his family and calls for his release from Iraqis who consider him an icon for a nation decimated by war.

Muntadhar al-Zeidi, 30, defiantly shouted, “Long Live Iraq!” when the sentence was imposed, according to defense lawyers. Some of his relatives collapsed and had to be helped out of the courthouse. Others were forcibly removed by guards after shouting “Down with Bush!”

“This judiciary is unjust,” al-Zeidi’s brother, Dargham, said tearfully.

Other family members shouted insults against Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who like al-Zeidi is a Shiite.

During Thursday’s proceedings, chief defense attorney Dhia al-Saadi moved that the charges be dismissed, saying al-Zeidi’s act was “an expression of freedom” and not a crime.

“It was an act of throwing a shoe, not a rocket,” he told the court. “It was meant as an insult to the occupation.”

Muslim TV Channel Founder Arrested For Beheading Wife

Muzzammil Hassan, founder and chief of the popular Bridges TV network, a Muslim channel carried by many US cable networks has been arrested in New York for beheading his wife:

 

Orchard Park police are investigating a particularly gruesome killing, the beheading of a woman, after her husband — an influential member of the local Muslim community — reported her death to police Thursday.

Police identified the victim as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. Detectives have charged her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, 44, with second-degree murder.

“He came to the police station at 6:20 p.m. [Thursday] and told us that she was dead,” Orchard Park Police Chief Andrew Benz said late this morning.

Muzzammil Hassan told police that his wife was at his business, Bridges TV, on Thorn Avenue in the village. Officers went to that location and discovered her body.

This last part is the best:

Muzzammil Hassan is the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004, amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.

Positive light indeed.

Tolerate The Intolerant?

As observers of modern society, we’ve learned to expect nothing more than violence, intolerance, and hypocrisy from the self-proclaimed “religion of peace.” We’ve seen governments and judicial bodies alike ever-so-slowly buckling under the pressure continually applied by anti-Semitic muslim groups. 

The latest egregious incident of “tolerance” occurs at York University in Toronto:

Another anti-Semitic incident took place in a Canadian university Thursday when over 100 anti-Israel activists surrounded a campus building belonging to the Jewish student club ‘Hillel’ at York University, Toronto. The activists pounded on office doors while yelling out racial slurs.

Campus security was forced to alert police to restore order and the latter demanded that the offices be shut down.

Now to put this in perspective: An angry Muslim mob carries out a hate crime upon a Jewish center in Toronto. York Police order that the center be shut down, thus punishing the innocent while achieving the anti-Semitic goal of the mob. Canada seems to have borrowed this move directly from England’s playbook.

Bert Camp, of York Police, said the case was being investigated by the hate crimes unit because the threatened student is a well-known pro-Israeli figure on campus. Camp said the threats were in all probability related to Israel’s offensive in Gaza.

All I can say is that we should watch this one closely. Do you think that any charges will actually be filed? Will any sanctions be levied for this hate crime? One thing is certain, we can expect to see similar incidents in the future — and we’ll be expected to be tolerant.

Al Qaeda Prepares To Invade Facebook

Is nothing sacred?  After infesting Youtube and other sites, online jihadists are preparing to infect the pristine servers of Facebook with their Islamist ways.

“We can use Facebook to fight the media,” notes a recent posting on the extremist al-Faloja forum, translated by Jihadica.com. “We can post media on Facebook that shows the Crusader losses.”

“We have already had great success in raiding YouTube,” the poster adds. “American politicians have used Facebook to get votes, like the house slave Obama.”

Groups like al-Qaida were pioneering users of the internet — to train, share ideas and organize. But some observers, like George Washington University professor Marc Lynch, see a reluctance to embrace Web 2.0 tools like Facebook. “One of the biggest problems for a virtual network like AQ today is that it needs to build connections between its members while protecting itself from its enemies.  That’s a filtering problem: How do you get your people in, and keep intelligence agents out?” he asks.

Never mind intelligence agents.  What about Fox News?

A quickly growing jihadist group that used Facebook to spread its radical message has been shut down by the popular Web networking site after FOXNews.com alerted the company to the group’s activities.

Facebook blocked the group, Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra — Arabic for “Knights in Support of the Invasion” — Thursday evening after the group swelled to about 120 members in just over one week.

FOXNews.com, working closely with a former radical Muslim now dedicated to exposing cyberterror activity, was able to gain access to the group and its content.

That’s right.  Who’s protecting Facebook from the jihad?  FoxNews.com.

Mumbai Attacks Funded By UK Mosques

Regular DBReport readers are well-aware of what douchebags can be found in some London mosques, so it should not be too much of a surprise that there are now reports that link the attacks to Lashker-e-Taiba, “The Army of the Righteous”, a Kashmiri separatist group with ties to Al Qaeda and funded by cash raised in British mosques.

And intercepted telephone and radio communications before and during the latest attacks apparently suggest a link.

Indian officials say at least one of the gunmen captured after the attacks is part of a Lashkar network.

The group last week denied any responsibility and the unknown group Deccan Mujahideen said it was behind the atrocity.

But earlier this year another group, the Indian Mujahideen, which has links to Lashkar-e-Taiba, sent an email to Indian police warning it was planning an attack in Mumbai.

The message read: ‘We are keeping a close eye on you and just waiting for the right time to execute your bloodshed…Let the Indian Mujahideen warn all the people of Mumbai…You are already on our hit list and this time very, very seriously.’

So the West continues to export Islamic terror to the rest of the world. We really need to knock that off.

Twin Cities Exporting Terrorism To Somalia

Shirwa Ahmed, a Minneapolis resident and naturalized US citizen, is believed by the FBI and Homeland Security to have blown himself up in a suicide attack in Northern Somalia last month.  They are also investigating whether Ahmed had created a terrorist recruiting network in the Twin Cities region.

More than a dozen young men of Somali descent, mostly in their 20s, from the Minneapolis area have recently disappeared, U.S. law enforcement officials tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS. All are thought to be associates of Ahmed. U.S. officials suspect most of the young men have departed for Somalia to fight in ongoing violence there or to train in terrorist camps. Family members of the young men are said to be distraught, trying to figure to out what happened to them, sources say.

So the Somalis have to worry about a bunch of Americans who might have infiltrated their society and could blow themselves up at any moment?  That’s a switch.

Major Terror Attack in India

 

At least 80 are dead and more than 900 are injured in a terror attack upon the Indian financial center of Mumbai:

 

Mumbai: In one of the most violent terror attacks on Indian soil, Mumbai came under an unprecedented night attack as terrorists used heavy machine guns, including AK-47s, and grenades to strike at the city’s most high-profile targets — the hyper-busy CST (formerly VT) rail terminus; the landmark Taj Hotel at the Gateway and the luxury Oberoi Trident at Nariman Point; the domestic airport at Santa Cruz; the Cama and GT hospitals near CST; the Metro Adlabs multiplex and Mazgaon Dockyard — killing at least 80 and sending more than 900 to hospital, according to latest reports.

The attacks have taken a tragic toll on the city’s top police brass: The high-profile chief of the anti-terror squad Hemant Karkare was killed; Mumbai’s additional commissioner of police (east) Ashok Kamte was gunned down outside the Metro; and celebrated encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar was also killed.

The attacks appeared to be aimed at getting international attention as the terrorists took upto 40 British nationals and other foreigners hostage. The chairman of Hindustan Unilever Harish Manwani and CEO of the company Nitin Paranjpe were among the guests trapped at the Oberoi. All the internal board members of the multinational giant were reported to be holed up in the Oberoi hotel.
