Wii Would Like To Call You Fat
May 21, 2008
From All Headline News (ha ha):
London, England (AHN) – A popular video game was condemned by obesity experts after calling a 10-year-old girl “fat.”
Nintendo’s Wii Fit is a game intended for busy people and for families who want to enjoy toning down at the comfort of their homes. It includes yoga exercises and other games that may help improve the balance of the player.
The game uses a “balance board” to monitor the player’s weight. As soon as the player enters his height, the game will then use BMI, or the Body Mass Index which is a measure of body fat based on the height and weight of a person. His level of obesity is then calculated and he will be categorized as “underweight” or “fat.”
Despite positive feedback from many people, a father from the South-East said that his stepdaughter was embarrassed when she played the game and was labeled fat. He said that she is perfectly healthy, solidly built but not fat. It caused her devastation and he and his wife had to work hard to convince her that she wasn’t fat.
Tam Fry, from the National Obesity Forum, said that children should not be allowed to play the game because its BMI measurement was misleading. According to him, BMI should not be used with children because their BMIs can change every month. He said that the game should carry a warning for parents.
According to Nintendo, they will not put a warning on the game. Its spokesman said in a statement that Nintendo sends its apologies to any customer offended by the game. Wii Fit is still capable of measuring the BMI for people between two and 20. However, the results may not be accurate for young players because their levels of development vary.
MSM Quiet About L.A. School Sex Abuse Scandal
May 21, 2008
Here is another example that shows how the mainstream Media (a.k.a Liberal Press) wants to castigate religious groups and their members – especially Roman Catholic – while never seeming to notice the same brutish actions conducted by their own. Here is a clearly defined case of educators not giving a damn about students, protecting only their own:
A major child sex abuse scandal has erupted in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Where’s the national media?
Steve Thomas Rooney faces 13 felony sex-related counts, including charges that he had unlawful sex with two female students, ages 13 and 14, during the time he was an assistant principal at a middle school. And here’s the kicker: In August 2007 LAUSD assigned Rooney to his job even though it knew that police had investigated him about an alleged sexual relationship with a student at his previous job at a high school. The former high school girl has since testified that Rooney impregnated her. (LAT coverage)
KNX 1070 Newsradio has reported “21 teachers and administrators have been yanked from schools in the past year because of allegations of inappropriate sexual contact with kids.” Most of the cases happened since only January of this year.
Two LAUSD administrators face criminal charges for failing to report suspected child abuse by a substitute teacher. Yet LAUSD has sent the pair back to work at school! (LAT)
During interviews, LAUSD Superintendent David Brewer has often come across utterly uninformed on the scandal. (Listen to this must-hear KNX audio.)
When LAUSD Deputy Superintendent Ramon Cortines was questioned over the phone about the scandal by KNX reporter Charles Feldman, Cortines became agitated and hung up on Feldman. (Hear the audio.) In discussing the scandal with KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, Cortines defiantly responded, “This is not out of the ordinary for school districts all over the nation. These things happen.”
I cannot imagine a more callous remark. Cortines must know something we don’t. He must know that the NEA and mainstream media act alike as liberal propagandists. While such a litany of crimes can go unreported, they must not be useful to the political agenda set forth by those establishments.
Congratulations, Deputy Superintendent Ramon Cortines, you’re now prime contender for Douchebag of the year.
News Crew Attacked At Islamic Public School
May 21, 2008
Knock-knock. NEA? ACLU? Anybody home? According to this World Net Daily article, an incident occurred at the Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, in which a television crew was attacked, leaving a photographer injured.
The television crew called upon the school to report on whether the publicly funded academy had complied with a state mandate to cease Islamic prayer and activities in the school. The prayers and religious activities that had taken place were found to “take up so much time they could burden non-praying students and prevent the school from fulfilling its required number of instruction hours.”
The article continues:
The KSTP crew was dispatched to the school to cover the story and obtain reaction from school officials, according to a statetment on the station’s website.
“While on school grounds, our crew was attacked by school officials,” the station said. “Our photographer was injured while wrestling with the two men over the camera. Our photographer was examined by paramedics and suffered minor shoulder and back injuries.”
Well, there’s reaction for you. Chalk that up to another outburst from the self-proclaimed religion of peace. Also note that the academy (Tarek ibnZiyad) is named after a Muslim warlord. Here’s food for thought:
“Can you imagine a public school founded by two Christian ministers, and housed in the same building as a church? Add to that – in the same building – a prominent chapel. And let’s say the students are required to fast during Lent, and attend Bible studies right after school. All with your tax dollars,” he wrote. “Inconceivable? Sure.”
If such a place existed, Spencer said, “the ACLU lawyers would descend on it like locusts. It would be shut down before you could say ‘separation of church and state,’ to the accompaniment of New York Times and Washington Post editorials full of indignant foreboding, warning darkly about the growing influence of the Religious Right in America.”
Our thoughts exactly. ACLU, where are you?
…And You Want This To Be President?
May 21, 2008
By now, it comes as no surprise to anyone that presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is incapable of telling the truth. While the magnitude of the lie may range from “little white lie” to a chart-topping whopper provoking many a photoshop content, a lie is a lie. It is insulting to the American people that someone of such ilk can make it so far in such an important election. This is the best we have to offer? In a few short months, we will band together as a nation to elect ourselves a President and a liar.
Here is an excerpt from this FoxNews article that recounts the larger-scale lies told by Hillary throughout the year. Everything from Travelgate in 2000 to the Bill Kennedy endorsement of current times:
Sen. Hillary Clinton presents the image of a seasoned, ever-disciplined politician whose experience as first lady and a New York senator makes her ready to be commander-in-chief. But a series of misstatements — exaggerations, half-truths and lies — made by Clinton over the last 15 years have at times undermined her image and called her credibility into question.
There’s the teaser for you… Now, click on the link and enjoy the worthy read.
[The Fox editors note that this is the first in a three part series that will expose the lies and falsehoods claimed by all candidates. The Douchebag Report will provide commentary on each of these articles. We will also maintain links to these in our "QuickLinks" section of the home page for your easy reference.]
Olbermann Plays Doberman
May 21, 2008
Last Wednesday’s Countdown featured a “Special Comment” segment in which MSNBC host Keith Olbermann launched a rabid rant against the Bush administration, accusing the President of “panoramic and murderous deceipt.” Olbermann went on to say that the President had an “addled brain,” and ended the segment telling Bush to “Shut the hell up!” Here are some excerpts from this NewsBusters article:
The Countdown host was responding to comments the President made during an interview with Politco.com. When asked what was the “worst that could happen” if U.S. troops were withdrawn from Iraq, Bush argued that extremists could feel “emboldened” to engage in “another attack on the United States,” and referred to the “ideological struggle” in Iraq “against cold-blooded killers who will kill people to achieve their political objectives.”
The MSNBC host thought it was insightful to take President Bush’s words about terrorists and apply them to the Bush administration: “Mr. Bush, at long last, has it not dawned on you that the America you have now created, includes ‘cold-blooded killers who will kill people to achieve their political objectives?’ They are those in, or formerly in, your employ, who may yet be charged some day with war crimes.”
Olbermann continued: “Through your haze of self-congratulation and self-pity, do you still have no earthly clue that this nation has laid waste to Iraq to achieve your political objectives? ‘This ideological struggle’ you speak of, Mr. Bush, is taking place within this country.”
Wow, now that’s what I call a rant! Talk about “outta left field…” Here’s a “special comment” for you, Mr. Olbermann:
No, YOU “shut the hell up.” Let’s talk for a moment about the “panoramic and murderous deceit” that the main stream media has barraged the American public with for so many years. Anchorman after un-fucking-American Anchorman has tried to paint a picture of an unpopular, unsupported war so that they could support THEIR political objectives. How hypocritical is that? Well, well, well… the constant blathering from “addled brain” newsmen like Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews may have cost the Republicans a few seats on account of the war. But guess what? Nothing changed. Period. Now, why is that? Well, we have a do-nothing Congress that just may be able to vote themselves a pay raise. At least they’re kinda/sorta listening to the people. The status quo says that the war is good. The intentions are good. We support the war, so do they. Period.
Some of my tax dollars may be going to the likes of Halliburton and Blackwater, but much more of my dollars are going to MSNBC and CNN, a la Comcast. Why am I paying to listen to a message that I don’t support? I’m an educated viewer – respect ME.
On the subject of respect, how dare anyone criticize Bush’s decision not to play golf out of respect for the soldiers? At least someone is showing a little respect for those who have fought and died for America. It’s time the un-fucking-American “profiteering, morally bankrupt” networks show the same respect for those who have died, rather than exploit them for the purposes of ratings and political agenda. I’d like to see Keith Olbermann vow not to color his hair until all soldiers are returned home safely.
Man, FUCK YOU Keith Olbermann.

Bill Clinton – First Black President?
May 14, 2008
Time Magazine’s Andrea Sachs recently interviewed Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winning author Toni Morrison if she regretted calling Bill Clinton “the first black President.” Here is what Toni Morrison had to say:
People misunderstood that phrase. I was deploring the way in which President Clinton was being treated, vis-à-vis the sex scandal that was surrounding him. I said he was being treated like a black on the street, already guilty, already a perp. I have no idea what his real instincts are, in terms of race.

Chris Matthews Rants On Rush
May 14, 2008
Here’s more evidence that windbag Chris Matthews has lost it completely. No, it’s not another tingling body part. This time it’s a stern lecture for anyone that took part in Rush Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos,” a campaign in which Republicans were urged to vote for Hillary Clinton to extend the Democratic nomination battle:
The rant from Matthews: “I have to offer a Keith-style special comment on that. Anyone who voted to screw up the political system of this country with the purpose of mischief should carry that with them the rest their lives. What a ridiculous way to use the vote for which people fought and died, to use that vote to make mischief. I hope you’re proud of yourself.”
Here’s a question for Chris Matthews: Do you actually believe that anyone takes Rush Limbaugh seriously? If you honestly believe that, then your own rants are much less effective than you had previously believed. Shame on you.

The Senate: Chamber of Douchebags
May 14, 2008
As a nation, we’ve followed the steady decline in Congressional approval ratings. Experts are quick to blame the lack of reform, the economy, and the war in Iraq. Realistically, it is all of the above and then some. The cold hard truth is that a number of our elected officials do not represent us, and they slap us in the face with their actions. In one such example, Senator Hillary Clinton failed to disclose almost $24 million of her husband’s income between 2005 and 2006, using a rule that allows senators to limit disclosures on spousal income:
Sen. Hillary Clinton excluded nearly $24 million of her husband’s earnings from Senate financial statements from 2004 through 2006, capitalizing on rules that permit senators to limit disclosures of some of their spouses’ income. Her decision, while fully consistent with Senate rules and norms, delayed the release of financial information about former President Clinton’s soaring income until the couple released their tax returns in early April, under pressure from Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama. By then, about 40 states had completed their Democratic primaries and caucuses, meaning that those voters didn’t get a clear look at Bill Clinton’s finances.Like Clinton, Obama listed his wife Michelle’s salary and directors’ fees only as “over $1,000,” which complies with Senate rules. Obama and his wife, a Chicago lawyer, aren’t as wealthy as the Clintons, however, and their finances are less murky.GOP candidate John McCain’s wife, Cindy, is the heiress to a beer distributorship and has owned stock in oil and pharmaceutical companies, but the specifics are elusive. McCain has declined to release his wife’s tax returns, saying they keep their finances separately.
What ever happened to reform? What ever happened to ethics in government? The sad reality is that these are merely campaing buzz words. And these people want to be President…Source: McClatchy – Clinton Disclosures didn’t list $24 million of Bill’s income
Judge Pearson – No Pants, New Suit.
May 14, 2008
It’s always a cause for celebration when The Douchebag Report’s very FIRST Douchebag makes headlines again… It seems that *Former* Judge Roy L. Pearson is holding true to the old axiom “once a doucehbag, always a douchebag.” In his latest frivolous lawsuit, he contends that he was wrongfully dismissed from his job as an administrative law judge (not that it had anything to do with making a mockery of the due process of law):
A former judge who lost a $54 million lawsuit against a dry cleaner over a missing pair of pants is suing to get his job back and at least $1 million in damages. In the suit filed in federal court, Roy Pearson he was wrongfully dismissed for exposing corruption within the Office of Administrative Hearings, the department where he worked. In court documents, Pearson said he was protected as a whistle-blower and that the city used the fact that he was being “vilified in the media” to cut him out of his job.In a response to a Freedom of Information Act request from The Associated Press, the city’s general counsel wrote that Pearson’s term as an administrative law judge expired in May 2007, and the D.C. Commission on Selection and Tenure of Administrative Law Judges voted not to reappoint him.Pearson’s lawsuit in D.C. Superior Court claimed Custom Cleaners did not live up to Pearson’s expectations of “Satisfaction Guaranteed,” as advertised in store windows. Initially, Pearson calculated his losses at $67 million but lowered his request to $54 million.
Poor Pearson… No job. Still no pants. Will someone please shut this douchebag up?
