Meet The Obsessed
June 23, 2008
Tim Russert’s body has not even had a chance to begin decomposing, before anchor-douchebags Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann began vying for his job as host of “Meet the Press.” Proving yet again that these mindless talking heads are tactless, the New York Post has uncovered the following:
According to our spy, “Chris, with his loud voice, was going over a pitch for Tim’s job. He was saying, ‘You know, Tim’s thing was this, and my thing is that.’ It was unbelievably tacky.”
Tacky indeed… and Keith, what do you have to say?
Meanwhile, Matthews’ MSNBC cable cohort Olbermann, who was also at the memorial, is “threatening to quit if he isn’t installed as Russert’s replacement,” another insider said. “I know, it sounds ludicrous, but, then, Keith Olbermann is ludicrous.”
Tacky. Ludicrous. Ridiculous. Now, talking heads… do what you do best and lie to get your way out of this:
Matthews told Page Six that the man he was with was real-estate developer Bob Monahan and that they were talking about a speech Matthews will give soon to a group of mayors in Gettysburg, Pa.
“We started fighting about it. He wanted me to talk about block grants. I want to give my general political speech,” Matthews said. “I swear to God that’s what happened.”
<sarcasm>Well, Chris, I believe you.</sarcasm> Especially that part about “I swear to God.” You sound just like a little kid caught throwing sand in the sandbox. Keith Olbermann took his lie one step further by also attacking the source:
[He] charged that the reporter had “made up a story about Chris Matthews and me seeking to succeed our friend, the late Tim Russert. Even as a work of fiction, it was pretty damn weak. They had Chris lobbying for the job at the reception after Tim’s memorial service, which not only isn’t true, but which only somebody working for Rupert Murdoch would be classless and self-destructive enough to do.
“Her hallucination had me threatening to quit if I didn’t get the job, which not only isn’t true but . . . does not account for the fact that I am not qualified for Tim Russert’s job.”
Not qualified? Well, I’m impressed. That seems to be the truest statement you’ve ever made in your career as a broadcast journalist. In any event, it is patently obvious that the likes of Matthews and Olbermann are incapable of telling the truth. If you guys can’t maintain a viewership on your own paltry shows, how can you expect to dominate another venue? Remember guys, Heath Ledger died a few months back. Perhaps you can jockey for his job and hump each other in the mountains.
Jesse Ventura for Senate?
June 19, 2008
Dean Barkley, one of former Gov. Jesse Ventura’s closest political associates, said Wednesday that he thinks Ventura will enter the U.S. Senate race as a third-party candidate next month.
But Barkley emphasized that no one knows what the former governor will wind up doing.
And he said Ventura probably won’t make a decision until right before the deadline for filing for office — 5 p.m. on July 15.
But Barkley said that recent polls — which showed Ventura with the support of a quarter of Minnesota voters in a hypothetical run against Republican Sen. Norm Coleman and DFLer Al Franken — have reinforced their hunch that this could be a good year for a famous third-party candidate with office-holding experience.

Nobel Hypocrite
June 19, 2008
Now this one really burns me… Since the inception of this website, we’ve been tracking the likes of Al Gore and his ramblings about global warming. We’ve stomached energy-wasting concerts, gas guzzling private planes, nobel prize ceremonies, movies with false imagery of melting glacial ice, and have been exposed to countless speeches on conservation (which I equate to a speech on poverty or punctuality given by John Edwards).
Now we learn that the amount of energy consumed by Al Gore’s Tennessee home in 1 year could power 232 U.S. home for an ENTIRE MONTH. WTF?!? According to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research:
“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”
In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.
The day after Al Gore’s epic hypocrisy-flick “An Inconvenient Truth” was released, the real inconvenient truth was also released: Al Gore’s residence consumes 20 times more energy than the average house. Al Gore is a hypocrite and blatantly disregards his own message. This is “do as I say and not as I do” to the core. But wait, it gets even better…
After the Tennessee Center for Policy Research exposed Gore’s massive home energy use, the former Vice President scurried to make his home more energy-efficient. Despite adding solar panels, installing a geothermal system, replacing existing light bulbs with more efficient models, and overhauling the home’s windows and ductwork, Gore now consumes more electricity than before the “green” overhaul.
So much for green advocacy. What say you now, Al? Are you afraid of the dark?
Obama Offends Muslim Supporters
June 19, 2008
Will the real Barack Obama please stand up? To date, we’ve witnessed the slippery presidential hopeful distance himself from shady Chicago politicians, racially charged reverends, and frankly, himself. According to Obama’s own website, “Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.” Alrighty then. What is he running from? According to this politico.com report:
Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit on Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.
The campaign has apologized to the women, both Obama supporters who said they felt betrayed by their treatment at the rally.
The article continues:
Building a human backdrop to a political candidate, a set of faces to appear on television and in photographs, is always a delicate exercise in demographics and political correctness. Advance staffers typically pick supporters out of a crowd to reflect the candidate’s message.
So then, what exactly is the candidate’s message? From Obama’s own campaign, we know it to be: “Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.” And from his campaign’s actions, we know that his own Muslim supporters are snubbed at his rally. Clearly, the “M” word raises a number of insecurities in the Obama camp. We just need to ask ourselves — now, why is that?
Sharpton Under Siege
June 19, 2008
Late last year, we had reported that the Internal Revenue Service and the US Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn began investigating finances directed toward Rev. Al Sharpton’s 2004 presidential bid and his charitable organization, the National Action Network. Today we learn that this was no idle threat, as several major corporations begin to receive subpoenas on the matter. Monster brewing conglomerate Anheuser-Busch is the first to acknowledge having received a subpoena, having donated between $100,000 and $499,000 to Sharpton in 2007 alone.
The New York Post reports that Sharpton dismisses the investigation as a “fishing investigation:”
The controversial reverend characterized the latest move by the feds as harassment.
“I think that this is a clear, transparent political investigation, because if they started an investigation in December, why would they be subpoenaing people after December unless they are on a fishing expedition?” Sharpton said.
At least Ol’ Reverend Al is being consistent. If the issue isn’t about black or white, it’s about the green. Just how crooked is Al, anyway?
Sharpton threatened boycotts or protests against corporations while simultaneously soliciting donations and sponsorships of NAN events, The Post detailed.
Personally, Sharpton owes $931,397 in federal taxes and $365,558 in New York City taxes, according to an IRS lien.
Wow. Al Sharpton owes $931,397 in federal taxes, and $365,558 in back city taxes? That just goes to show you that if you work really hard at being a blow-hard hatemonger, you can make it pay off.
Shut up and pay your taxes, Al.
