Ask A Genius: What Has Obama Accomplished?

Jeffrey Sachs is a really bright guy.  He’s literally one of the smartest people to make the rounds on morning TV news.  Just look at his accomplishments (from Wikipedia):

He is also the Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia’s School of Public Health. Additionally, he is Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, and the founder and co-President of the Millennium Promise Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty and hunger. From 2002 to 2006, he was the Director of the United Nations Millennium Project and today remains a leading advocate for the Millennium Development Goals, eight internationally endorsed objectives to reduce extreme poverty, hunger, and disease by the year 2015.

Originally one of the youngest economics professors in the history of Harvard University, Sachs became renowned for his work on the challenges of economic development, environmental sustainability, poverty alleviation, debt cancellation, and globalization. He has authored numerous books and articles on these subjects, including The End of Poverty and Common Wealth, both New York Times bestsellers. He has been named one of Time Magazine’s "100 Most Influential People in the World" several times.

See?  Really smart.  The kind of guy who has the brains, ability and motivation to lift entire countries out of poverty.  He’s smarter than you.  Really.

So how can you stump this man on his candidate of choice, Barack Obama?

The same way you can stump any other Obama supporter, regardless of intelligence:  Ask him what Obama has done for the country.

Don’t Stop Drinking Coffee…

Carol Anne Burger, a Huffington Post blogger, killed her former girlfriend by stabbing her 222 times and then tried to cover up her crime.

"Jessica Kalish, who shared a house with Burger despite breaking up with her more than a year ago, was found last Thursday stuffed in the backseat of her gun-metal BMW sedan, abandoned behind a medical office at 2300 S. Congress Avenue. Her blood was splashed around the rear end and undercarriage of the car, as if her killer had tried to load her into the trunk. The driver-side window was shattered."

Why did Burger snap?  Evidence points to Kalish’s new relationship with another women.  But there are signs it may have been something else…

Burger, a 57-year-old writer, did yoga, had a fondness for Shark Week on the Discovery Channel and preferred to watch musicals in theaters with Dolby Sound. She recently stopped drinking coffee. She thought Jackson Browne’s For a Dancer was good to listen to when you were sad, and she refused to take anti-depressants despite her relationship problems with Kalish.

"Stopped drinking coffee". The telltale sign of a frustrate middle-aged woman.  Have you ever known a happy person to announce that they’ve stopped drinking coffee?  Neither have we.  Have you ever known someone grasping at straws to figure out why their life is unfulfilling to stop drinking coffee?  So have we.

As investigators studied the case, several telltale signs, including the ferocity and personal nature of the attack, pointed to Burger, they said.

But before they could question her, Burger walked out into her back yard, pressed a gun up under her chin and pulled the trigger, police said. Detectives found her body there last Thursday but couldn’t locate a suicide note.

Well, at least there’s one less homicidal douchebag on the planet.  In a strange twist, this liberal actually saved taxpayer dollars by offing herself without the need for a trial and prison costs.

Huffington Post has a fitting tribute to their fallen comrade.  They did however leave a few blanks.

The Huffington Post’s OffTheBus is deeply saddened to report that one of our writers, Carol Anne Burger, died on Friday, October 24.

The circumstances of her death remain unclear; police believe she may have taken her own life after learning that her roommate – and former partner – had been found dead.

They missed the "…and she was going to be caught for the horrible crime she committed".  Otherwise, Douchebag Report thinks they summed it up well.

Obama: Lyin’ Hawaiian?

What goes on in Hawaii, stays in Hawaii-or so Presidential candidate Barack Obama would like the voting public to think…

Hawaiian sources close to this website have revealed that Obama’s trip to Hawaii last week to “visit his ailing grandmother” actually had another, more self-serving motive. Instead of consoling his ailing grandmother in what may be her last days in this life, sources indicate that Obama instead used the trip to retrieve his birth certificate from a local hospital.

Of course, the ailing grandmother angle may be a lie in and of itself. At an October 24th rally in Akron, Ohio, Michelle Obama herself contradicted Obama’s “gravely ill” diagnosis:

“Michelle Obama said her husband’s grandmother, whom they affectionately call ”Toot,” is doing fine. She said the family has received an outpouring of support from both political parties.”

Barack Obama, on the other hand, offered this statement:

Barack Obama says in ABC “Good Morning America” interview that: “Without going through the details too much, she’s gravely ill. We weren’t sure, and I’m still not sure whether she makes it to Election Day,” Obama told ABC’s “Good Morning America” in an interview broadcast Friday. “My grandmother’s the last one left,” he said. “She has really been the rock of the family, the foundation of the family.”

So, sick grandmother? birth certificate mission? Who knows… Of course, here’s the Liberal MediaMatters.org to the rescue:

Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, and Jerome Corsi suggested or asserted that the true purpose of Sen. Barack Obama’s current trip to Hawaii is not to visit his ailing grandmother, as Obama claims, but rather to address rumors — widely debunked — that Obama has failed to produce a valid U.S. birth certificate. However, in addition to FactCheck.org and a Hawaiian Health Department official, even Corsi’s employer, the right-wing website WorldNetDaily, has reportedly determined that the birth certificate provided by the Obama campaign is authentic.

That’s right… blame the conservative media. After all, you can’t blame the liberal / socialist mainstream media that refuses to cover the issue. So, who do you believe? Barack Obama’s own grandmother recalls his birth in Kenya:

Someone is lying.  According to Obama’s Kenyan (paternal) grandmother, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as the Democratic candidate for president claims.  His grandmother bragged that her grandson is about to be President of the United States and is so proud because she was present DURING HIS BIRTH IN KENYA, in the delivery room.

Another Obama ‘Red Flag’

 

No matter how far Presidential hopeful Barack Obama tries to distance himself from his socialist past, newer and larger red flags may be waved, calling attention to Obama’s true set of core beliefs and the overall hypocrisy of the liberal mainstream media. The Scripps News Network reports:

 

 

Barack Obama’s critics appropriately have spotlighted his ties to William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, the remorseless co-founders and leaders of the terrorist Weather Underground. However, Obama’s detractors largely overlook Ayers’ campaign contribution to Obama.

On April 2, 2001, Ayers donated $200 to Obama’s Illinois State Senate re-election campaign. Though not a jackpot, this represents Ayers’ only recorded political contribution.

Make no mistake about the relevancy of this campaign contribution. Ayers, a self-admitted anarchist, Marxist, and remorseless terrorist, has only contributed to one campaign ever. And the Obama campaign glady accepted this contribution, whilst fully considering the the source of the contribution. Now more than ever, it is obvious that the Liberals of the mainstream media brush off any references to Ayers as irrelevant, while the Liberals directly tied to the Obama campaign say that Ayers does not represent Obama’s current beliefs.  

 

In lieu of this evidence, we must ask ourselves – why are they being let off so easy? With each passing day, more evidence surfaces to confirm that, contrary to Obama’s vehement denials, Obama has sustained a long-term and near-current relationship with Ayers and company. We can believe that these contacts are indeed not casual or random, but show that there is a supportive shared belief system between the two of them.

Campaign Mailer Slams Franken

 

It appears that Franken’s own past is coming back to haunt him – in the form of a cartoon-style mailer that had been distributed to select Minnesota residents. The mailer, which makes the following points:

 

• “Wrote a pornographic column in Playboy – and thought it was funny.”
• “Has written so-called comedy routines about raping women.”
• “Tackled a protester at a political rally – and bragged about it.”

 

has been criticized as obscene and “un-funny” by area residents that happened to receive the mailer. 

“I was shocked when I saw this piece attacking Al Franken … This piece of mail would offend anybody,” said Edina mother and teacher Marcela Roos. “It targets our children and taunts them to open it and to find only very obscene and inappropriate language, which deals with rape and pornography.”

When Douchebags Attack II

Not to be outdone by their Florida comrades, a couple douchebags in Galax, VA took it upon themselves to attack a McCain campaign office with mace on Monday.

“Two people were arrested Monday afternoon after an altercation led to five Republican campaign workers being sprayed with Mace at their headquarters in Galax…Stevens said the couple replied that they weren’t leaving, and that they didn’t have to.

“I kind of moved them towards the door and he lashed out at me,” Stevens said. “So I lashed out at him.”

No punches were thrown, but instead the two simply held each other at bay, according to Stevens.

Once outside, Stevens said, the woman sprayed Mace on him and another volunteer before turning back to the office and spraying inside the building.”

Obama’s Incredible Shrinking Tax Cut

Most politicians wait until after the election to change their campaign promises.  But Barack Obama is a new kind of politician, so he’s taking a new tact.

Remember when Obama promised to cut taxes for people making $250,000 or less?

So do we.  Or at least, we thought we did.  Apparently, though, Obama has been saying he won’t raise taxes on people making $250,000 or less.  The tax cut is for people making $200,000 or less.

Or is it.  Joe Biden, who is famous for his “gaffes”…AKA “accidentally telling the truth”, now indicates that the cut off is now for those making $150,000 or less.

Attackers ‘Gouge Out Afghan Man’s Eyes’

Here’s a fun story out of Afghanistan:

Armed assailants have attacked a man, gouging out his eyes in front of his family in southern Afghanistan, officials say.

The man, Sayed Ghulam, is being treated in a hospital in the southern city of Kandahar.

Ghulam, 52, said three armed men knocked on his door in the Sangin district of Helmand province late Thursday. After he opened the door, they punched him in the face, put the barrel of a Kalashnikov rifle in his mouth and gouged out his eyes with a knife in the presence of his wife and seven children.

"I was crying, along with my children and wife, who was screaming for help, but they didn’t listen," Ghulam told The Associated Press from his hospital room in Kandahar.

Ghulam, a farmer, said he doesn’t know why he was attacked.

What a charming band of douchebags.  Who could they be?

Ghulam, whose head was almost completely wrapped in a large white bandage, said his attackers were wearing black turbans on their head like many Taliban fighters, but that he didn’t know who carried out the attack.

Taliban militants sometimes carry out harsh punishments for people they accuse of being thieves or "spies" for the Afghan government. Such punishments have included cutting off people’s hands or tarring and parading them publicly, but few reports of people having their eyes gouged out have surfaced in Afghanistan in recent years.
